After careful consideration, the ALGA Management Committee have decided to cancel the 2020 Growers Meeting which was scheduled to be held on the Sunshine Coast on 9 September 2020.
Even though many COVID-19 restrictions have been eased, restrictions around large-scale gatherings are still set to continue for a while longer.
Our grower meetings may not actually be classed as “large-scale” but considering previous meetings have been very well attended and a large amount of time & effort is spent in the organising of the meeting, the Committee believes it would be safer for all growers, agents and presenters to take the time and continue to ease back into the new “normal”.
The ALGA Annual General Meeting is still scheduled to be held on 9 September. For any members wishing to attend, it will be held via Zoom teleconference. More on this meeting will be advised closer to the date.
